![]() It only took me until stage 17 or so to realise I could do that… There’s A Hero… There are in-game achievements that function as a Where’s Wally/Waldo? as you click on and interact with background items. The folk at Ironhide Game Studios know their stuff. The humour in Kingdom Rush Vengence is on form yet again, jam-packed with pop culture references from Breaking Bad through to The Thing. Towers range from the classic arrows, infantry, cannons and magic to include structures with Dark Elves that can melee or do ranged attacks, a blimp that hovers over enemies and drops bombs, or the undead tower that sends patrols of skeletons in the direction of your attackers. Hopefully, this isn’t a spoiler, but once you seemingly defeat the enemy, loads more stages open up, and they’re significantly more challenging. If you played the demo, you’d be familiar with the Dwarves and their mechanical genius and weaponry, but delve deeper, and there’ll be Elves, Humans, Amphibians and the Undead. You aren’t restricted to fighting one faction. No match for the Dark Elves! Source: Screen capture The premise of the game is a reversal from its predecessors in that you take control of the evil wizard, destroying the neighbouring realms in the process. There are well over 20 stages in the game, starting with Vez’Nan’s Tower and going full circle. Do bear in mind, I finished the story element of the game on casual to start with, unlocked all the goodies, then went through doing both the Heroic and Iron Challenges. This goes back to the first tip we told you about, but special abilities are best used when you’ve got large packs of foes to deal with.Continuing from my saved game from the demo that was available during the Steam Games Festival, I wrote the day off and got stuck in. ![]() Save Special Abilities For Dealing With Big Groups Of Enemies This also works for positioning your best heroes, though arguably not as well as the upgraded tower strategy. At this point, you should be perfectly fine with only one or two barracks towers, but it’s the archer, mage, and stone druid towers you want to have enough of during the later goings. Keep on with what we told you above – have a good number of archer towers, but complement them with stone druid towers and mage towers. Create Stone Druid Towers And Mage Towers Later On Of course, it also makes sense to have an equal amount of each, but if you’ve got more archer towers, you’ve got a better defense against the bad guys. When you’re just starting out in Kingdom Rush Origins, it’s a good move to place more archer towers than barrack towers. Place More Archer Towers When You’re Starting Out As a bonus tip, spawn additional troops on the map while waiting for new packs to emerge. This can be done by using your special abilities and your reinforcement troops’ skills to quickly cut the hordes down to size. This could get really out of control if you aren’t careful, so you have to act quickly and take out these hordes early before trouble really starts a-brewing. There will be times when enemy troops will charge at you in large hordes. Take Down Hordes Before Things Get Really Hairy Having said that, let’s bring you some Kingdom Rush Origins cheats, tips and strategies to help you figure out this exciting prequel. ![]() You will be tasked to command your elven army and defend mystical lands from sea serpents, evil sorcerers, and wave after wave of gholl tribesman, with new heroes, spells, and towers to make use of.
